On Saturday February 22nd, I LUG NY conducted our first-ever stop-motion animation workshop at the Stamford Museum & Nature Center. The event sold out well ahead of time, and we got around 50 kids and parents attending. This was the last of our three special events. The Billion Bricks Exhibition ends March 2nd, so be sure to get out and see it before it’s over!Alex (of Kooberz Studios) gave a presentation about how to set up your studio and get started animating with LEGO. This included some sample animations he did over the years, including two as of yet unreleased videos from his BrickTube series.

There were LEGO building stations set up with playbrick, where kids were able to build models to animate. After that, they went to one of three animation stations to practice and play around with animating LEGO in the three different sample setups. Our patented BILS modules were again repurposed as animation sets.
